On Thursday, officials with the Adair County Health Department reported that an 81-year-old woman who had been admitted to the North Kansas City Hospital on August 27 has died.

She is the 30th known COVID-related death in Adair County.
The health department has also confirmed 13 new cases of COVID-19.
Twelve cases were confirmed on Wednesday and 13 are being reported for Thursday.
The overall case count for the county is now 3,338.
There are 105 active cases and 3,203 people who have left isolation.
Among the 13 cases confirmed Thursday is a 43-year-old female admitted to Northeast Regional Medical Center, other females are ages 24, 26, 33, and 37, males are ages 7, 21, 36, 51, 54, 58, 67, and 72, nine reside at addresses with at least one other confirmed case, one is in the K-12 school sector, and one is fully vaccinated.
Cases confirmed Sept. 8 include females ages 22, 51, 60, 72, 82, and 83. Males are ages 15, 18, 19, 22, 23, and 35.
Three are in the higher education sector, two in the K-12 school sector and four reside at addresses with at least one other confirmed case.
Four of these cases were breakthrough infections.
